Question by Chandra: forgot backup data before attempting for OS recovery. How to get the data back?
I have forgotten back up data in my HP pavilion dv6 laptop with Vista operating system and attempted for OS recover (F11), unfortunately i lost my data. Any help or guidance on recovering data is really great.

If the recovery reformatted the computer while reinstalling Windows you’re out of luck. If you don’t see your data when going to My Computer and browsing your hard drives it’s gone. There are drive recovery companies but that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars so…It’s gone.

What is a data recovery company right?

I have a hard disk that has the elements needed for recovery and, unfortunately, the software solutions will not work. Google gives me a mostly random results, most of whom are crooks or thousands of dollars for the cost of professional-level recovery. All I want is a good, reliable company that has rates possible. Any ideas?
