Xbox 360 external USB device update


On April 6th 2010 Microsoft released an update to support third party USB storage devices. This is the video of the process. **Note** USB devices need to be over 1GB in size but is limited to 16GB of available storage per external USB device/stick. You can of course use two device/sticks at once for a total of 32GB if you need more storage space.

The previously rumored (then later announced) USB storage support for Xbox 360 goes live today with a system update. Sign in now to receive a download prompt or if you were already on Live, expect to get kicked off and then prompted. If you’re not a fan of partitioning, Microsoft has pre-configured Xbox 360 8GB USB SanDisk flash drives for sale in May.
