Posted by: | Commentsxdrive (which is run/owned by AOL i think) – seems to be ok but will create an aol e-mail account when opening an xdrive account. i do not need another e-mail account, just an xdrive account. I need the free online storage to keep all my files that I usually store on my PC but I think it’s safer to have it stored online and be accessible anywhere not just my PC.
any other good ones out there?

Posted by: | CommentsNowadays, I’m beginning to think that hard drives are not reliable. I spend so much time doctoring my hard drives and one day it crashes and I lose all the information on it. I also can’t find a good recovery program to retrieve my files. Therefore, I need to start over.
I think about storing on two hard drives but it seems redundant. Then, the thought of storing online comes to mind. I wouldn’t mind spending some money on this kind of storage. The main issue seems to be PRIVACY. Could it be a way to crack down on piracy?
Anyone have any thoughts on this matter? Thanks in advance.

I’ve been browsing online, but would like some feedback from people that actually use online storage, what I should look for, how much I should expect to pay a year, the safety of my files, ease of use, etc. I have looked at Xdrive and Box.net so far. What Is The Best Online Storage For Music Files, Pictures And Videos?
Posted by: | CommentsNeed a recommendation for a good and reliable online storage site. Tried Streamload MediaMax, but not happy with the way it played my stored songs (it opened the default music application and if it does that, I don’t need the song on storage when its already on my harddrive). Tried xDrive but it was a nightmare (have they improved?). Any other suggestions? Music files, photos, documents and videos must be handled out of one site, not just one type of file, but all. Ease of use a big plus.
