Can I connect external storage device USB (1 TB) through an adapter, USB Ethernet router to my broadband? It’s just plug and play because there is no way to install a software driver for the external storage USB; Thank you.

Most of the external storage devices are not designed to work as stand alone equipment. You need to plug in your external storage to a computer in order for it to be able to function.
I have seen the odd router that allows sharing of a USB drive as a network storage. I think Linksys may have had one, but sorry, I don’t recall which model. Do a search of the internet for router+USB storage.
you would need a usb to NAS device to do this. They do make them and just for reference check my source.
