It is possible to boot a mounted disk image (. ISO or something) on a separate hard drive or put the files in a USB mass storage as a boot disk that travel and if so, how and what I need. I try to install Windows on a new machine and I can not seem to boot from a disk Windows.ya will determine the initial problem, but for now I have to put in place so that you can determine that none of the other groups are bad . I am a little technical experimentado.Im not surprising that you can not boot from a mounted image, because normally require a warrant and began to grow. Now I’m just left wondering if the files from the CD will work the same for the flash drive. I suppose we should try.
I would suggest that you try to fix your “problem” first. A new machine should not have a problem booting to a CD. Check your Bios settings. Your 1st boot device should be the CDrom.
you cant mount an image and then install windows. now i know you can boot of of a flash drive as long as the computer you are trying to install windows on allows you to boot off of USB drives. That involves changing bios settings. only do that if you are comfortable with it. What you need to do is copy all of the CD files onto the flash drive and stick it it just like you would and then change the setting to boot off of USB device. Ive only seen it able to do it on one computer and I’ve fixed tons of computers for family, friends. and my job.
