New xbox live update 2010, Tutorial on how to use a USB device as a 360 Memory Unit (Storage device) So here it is The instructions typed; (in case you dont want to watch the video) You’ll need to then go to system settings, memory, and select the USB drive. From there you’ll be asked to either Configure Now (format) or Customise (dictate how much space should be set aside for Xbox 360) the drive. Have any questions or want to see how it works see the xbox USB FAQ Here; www.xbox.com External USB hard drives are compatible, but the console can only utilise 16GB of the disk. “Since performance on flash-based USB storage is usually better, I highly recommend using flash-based instead of spinning media like a hard drive, ” wrote Major Nelson. “It’s just going to give you a much better experience.” Any USB flash drive can be used, but MS has also partnered with ScanDisk to release a branded, “ready-to-go” option. @Hellomynameiszachfoo no as its your GTnothiong at all will transfer appart from the bare profile its self
But would all my saved data on my friends xbox transfer with recovering my gt?

I don’t own an xbox (yet), but ive played games for windows and games on my friends xbox, so if I wanted to retrieve my data I could just copy my gamer profile or somthing more/else?

I have an xbox 360 arcade that i recently bought, it has this ability to use a memory storage device, when i connect my xbox to the interenet and live it asks to update, Can i save the update on the usb? If so, then can i play on xbox live gold if i buy it?

how do i put a movie on my flash drive so it works on the xbox? i hav eit configured to the xbox but when i try to put the movie file on the usb on my computer it says theres not enough space on the disk drive. i have 3.3gb free and its only a 700mb movie. any reason why or how to do it correctly?

how do you eject the flash drive? I tried turning off the Xbox then pulling it out but not only were all my files? gone but I had to reconfigure it when i plugged it back to the Xbox

still you can’t back up your data and you can’t store between profiles and i wish you could use a external hard drive more than 16 gb eg 500 gb and use it on your 360. That would be awesome!
