Did anyone notice the lack of instructions when they bought this router or was it just me that didn’t have any?

If it was me I would attach the printer to a stationary computer and set up network printer sharing through windows/mac. Or buy a network printer adapter to connect it through a LAN port. The only routers I have seen that support both Hard Drive AND Printer support via USB are Belkin and ASUS.

@csourlis Yes, and you can also set a password restriction on the read and/or write ability through the internet access. If you set passwords on both then no one will even be able to see the content of the drive without the password access, it’s pretty cool.

@oconano I’m 99% sure that would work since this router has it’s own processor that will read and detect the latest USB 2.0 devices. I’ve plugged multiple usb hard drives/thumb drives including a 350 gb drive into the router and they have all came up. I have not seen any limit to size, and it supports FAT32 and NTFS formatted drives (though FAT32 is recognized by more devices I have ran through my network via the built in media server) download the latest firmware and you should have no problems

I have a 750 GB internal HD that I have never opened. Does anyone know if I buy a docking station with a USB interface if that will work as the storage device? Or Do I need a flash drive?
    ~Thanks

A USB printer will not work when connected to the USB port of WNDR3700. It is meant for USB flash drives and hard drives.

Please call NETGEAR technical support for more information.

I just bought this router and I am having a hard time connecting my usb printer to it so I can share my printer throughout my network. Does anyone know how to do this with this router?
